Birthday discount
. 50% discount for person who has a birthday on a day, which is +/- 3 days from the date of his/her tour if such a person brings one companion who pays regular price. Please bring your ID – we will refund you before the beginning of the tour. This promotion cannot be combined with any other promotion.

Children discount
. Children ages 6-12 pay 50% of regular price; adult must accompany child age 6-12. We will refund you before the beginning of the tour. This promotion cannot be combined with any other promotion.

News from Ahla

 

October 2010: Yuri Dagaev joins Ahla Tours as an Operations Manager.  After 3.5 years of sucessful operations Ahla is looking forward to expand its operations through offering of existing programs to new customers and developing new programs. Yuri brings to the table 2-years of experience as Russian Cuisine Tour Guide and will be responsible for different areas in the company.  

May 2009: Two years retrospective

Julia & Leonid started to create Jewish cuisine program in March 2007. In May 2007 first tours were launched. Russian cuisine program had been added in Spring 2008 to answer satisfied but "hungry" customers' question: "Do you offer any other programs?" In Winter 2009 Ahla introduced new presentation formats: seminars and cooking classes.

During 2 years of operations hundreds of customers visited Ahla tours - those customers came from more then a dozen foreign countries, more then two dozens of states and more then three dozen Massachusetts towns and cities. Ahla had been featured twice on TV and 10 times in newspapers. 

We have very enthusiastic and exceptionally well-educated team. Our "average" team member has Master degree and fluently speaks THREE languages. Ahla collaborates with 16 Towns in Massachusetts, 13 shops and restaurants, and other numerous organizations.     

March 30, 2009. Ahla Food Tour is featured in the Channel 5 Chronicle.
Julia Goldberg, Ahla co-founder, was interviewed by Mary Richardson, co-anchor of WCVB-TV’s Chronicle. Mary and Julia walk, talk and nosh their way through the rich ethnic offerings along Harvard Street in Brookline. Watch the Channel 5 segment

March 2009. Ahla opens Seminars with Tastings. Our 2-hour culinary seminars include tasting of delicious authentic specialties and are perfect for private parties and community gatherings. More information

January 2009. Ahla incorporated in MA as Ahla Food Tours Inc.

July 2008: Ahla Tour joins GBCVB. Ahla becomes a member of Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau and is published in BostonUSA.com

April & June 2008. Ahla Tour is featured in Boston Globe and in the Boston Herald

January 2008. Brookline Food Tour is featured in the show TV Diner on NECN.
Julia Goldberg was interviewed by Jennifer Johnson, the producer of a food program called TV Diner with Billy Costa on New England Cable Network. Jennifer, who does a weekly segment on TV Diner called the Jenny Cam, filmed our tour in selected restaurants and food shops.
